As the public defender of Tahoe City, I have successfully represented and advised countless clients in Placer County. I personally handle the majority of cases in Tahoe and I pride myself on being the only attorney in over a decade to have held a jury trial in the Tahoe City Courthouse.
In 2026, I took over the law practice of Alison Bermant, a local legend and personal mentor of mine. Carrying on her legacy, I provide expert legal advice in a compassionate, thoughtful, and caring way. After graduating with honors from the University of California, Berkeley, in 2012, I moved to Tahoe to teach skiing at my favorite mountain, Homewood. I spent my winters in Tahoe until 2016, when I decided to go to law school. I graduated with honors from the Lewis and Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon, where I began my career as a public defender. Within just a few years, I had been to trial dozens of times and learned how to use my voice to effectively fight the government.
In my off time, you will likely see me skiing in the winter and sailing in the summer. I am an avid outdoorsman and passionately believe in protecting my community from harsh punishment and excessive government interference in our personal liberties.
